Wedge-tailed eagles mate for life, so when her mate does not return from a hunting trip, Elvira is in despair. Although anxious to set out immediately to find him, she is faced with a problem: she has three eggs due to hatch any day and they can't be left unattended. Never daunted, she comes up with a novel 'baby-sitting' plan which enables her to leave the nest and set off on a quest to find the missing eagle.
